Its primary feature is power sequencing, which powers on its rear outlets in three delayed groups to prevent the excessive inrush currents that can damage sensitive electronics. The M-8S features six sequenced outlets (two outlets per delay) , two unswitched rear outlets, and one unswitched front convenience outlet.
